jPOS for Banks

Banks and financial institutions around the world use jPOS in order to connect their mainframe applications to local and international ATM and POS networks.

For starters, financial institutions can use products like ISO/Bridge in order to implement "Completion-Only" links where the networks would notify in realtime the institution cardholder's activities. In adition, the bank can send completion messages to the networks containing information about debits and credits taking place at their own branches.

In addition, institutions that already run their own transaction switch can leverage jPOS in order to interface new applications such as IVR, web based customer information systems, e-mail/SMS based customer notifications, etc.

jPOS can be used as a central high performance Switch connecting branches, mini-ATMs, Kiosks, web and traditional applications. International institutions can implement a clearinghouse and currency exchange server using the lightweight and proven ISO-8583 protocol.
